The book A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines is a book that is about a kid named Jefferson who was colored skin in a white community, he was told to be a murderer, so he was condemned to the electric chair, and the only person who tried to help him was the protagonist Grant Wiggins; he was more like a friend than a tutor, and all he wanted was that Jefferson die as a man, but he has to affront many problems that came up, one of the causes was his aunt Ms. Lou the antagonist of the story.
I kind of liked this book because the theme of the book engaged the reader and it also made the reader want to read more to know how everything ends, I would recommend this book to people who like to read about racism and that like political and or judicial topics in the books.
